Laptop Memory Compatibility Toshiba Laptop Memory Compatibility?

Toshiba Laptop memory compatibility? - laptop memory compatibility

Hello to all. I have a Toshiba laptop with 2 cartridges with 512 MB of RAM each. They are PC2-5300 DDR. With 200 pins.

My question is: If I remove one of them, and paste from here

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208323&Tpk=transcend% 2B2% 2bgb% 2blaptop% 2bmemory

This brings the total memory on my computer to 2.5 gigs.

I know that the USB stick (must be in pairs) are identical. But I was just curious to know whether this setup to work, because they do not want that 2 sticks of 1 GB each memory loss that comes with the machine (because there are only 2 slots)

Thanks
Gopal

Maybe I can give you my personal experience
> My office is a old'ish Lil Bit and has 2 slots
previously 256 MB + 256 MB
Well, a few months ago I had a staff of 256 and replaced it with a stick of 1 GB
Well, 1 GB + 256 MB

This was done on purpose!
mon, because my board does not support dual channel memory
If I did, I would never
512 x 2 is a much better solution for my needs would have been ... than the current 1.25 GB

that your system now also supports dual channeling
So 1 GB x 2 sticks should be the ideal solution
Option would be cheaper and significantly more powerful than expected, 2.5 GB
Why double the RAM and twice the bandwidth
if the 2 GB easily exceed 2.5 GB of the exercise

Question proposed improvements,

I want to strengthen all over again in my view
2GB (1GB +1 GB) 2.5 GB (2 GB + 512 MB) with a long margin

It seems that this is going the way there. You can check at crucial.com, what types of RAM, and accept that the limits of the RAM can your lappy's. lappys some have only 2 GB of RAM or what did the 2nd eBay May 512th 1x 2GB, if the work to get to the other if you can accept 4GB.

pairs is not true, nothing more. 10 points please

Toshiba can handle 2 Gig RAM, so that overall it does not work, you can not add, but it is to remove the RAM-ld
